From a young age, Tricia has been fascinated with the way our environments impact our experiences. When she was just nine years old, her mother let her pick out paint colors and furniture for her bedroom. She remembers rearranging and decorating her room every chance she had and attributes her love for design blossoming from this.
Tricia attended Indiana University, where she earned her bachelor's degree and then went on to become a photo stylist. In this role, she strengthened her creative eye and ability to evoke a mood with meticulous prop sourcing, staging photos, and set design. Pursuing her interests, Tricia obtained her Certificate in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art & Design, and her organic shift into the Interior Design world began.

ricia founded Tricia Runkel Home on her love for transforming and styling interiors. She is passionate about creating beautiful, curated spaces for her clients and believes homes should tell a story about the people that live there. Tricia’s style is heavily influenced by her love affair with European architecture along with early twentieth-century style and can best be described as Modern French.
